Sidebar Terms of Use

Last updated: June 10, 2026

The service

Sidebar is an audiobook player for DRM-free files you own, with an optional AI conversation companion. Audiobook playback is free. AI conversations require a subscription after the free trial.

Subscription

• Sidebar AI Monthly is an auto-renewable subscription billed to your Apple account at the price shown in the app (approximately $6.99/month, localized by region).
• New accounts receive a 5-day free trial of AI conversations, started from your Sidebar account. The trial does not require payment and does not auto-convert; after it ends, AI conversations are locked until you subscribe.
• The subscription renews automatically each month unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• Manage or cancel anytime in your Apple ID settings (App Store > Subscriptions). Deleting the app or your Sidebar account does not cancel the subscription.
• Refunds are handled by Apple under Apple's refund policies.

Your content

You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to play the audio files you import. Sidebar does not provide, host, or distribute audiobook content.

AI responses

AI responses are generated automatically and may be inaccurate or incomplete. They are provided for entertainment and comprehension support, not professional advice.

Acceptable use

Do not abuse, reverse engineer, disrupt, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the service, and do not use it to violate any law or third-party right. We may suspend accounts that violate these terms.

Disclaimer and liability

The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the amount you paid for the service in the preceding 12 months.

Changes

We may update these terms; material changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
